Kumari calls it "slit-wrist chic". She can be very lighthearted about the having almost died thing. ^_^
Her wrist has been hurting a lot lately, and she's pretty self-conscious about the scars there, so I made her a slightly-compression wrist cover from an old bustier. Also it's cute, which is priority #1, of course.
It's just the bottom (torso) part of one of her old bustiers that didn't fit with a few grommets in it. (I got a pair of grommet pliers from Harbor Freight Hardware last year, I love them so much. So much.) Then laced it up with a ribbon, so the fabric lays nice and firm and protects her wrist a bit.
Also, you can see Kumari's beloved cute bedding in the background, as well as the new shorts she got today in our post-therapy warm-environment shopping trip. They look cute on her, and have the added bonus of making it hard for her to hide any new scratches from me. She's been doing really well at resisting the urge to cut lately though. *digital high fives*
